The author is intrigued by transdisciplinary policy and political research that, in his view, produces the greatest strides forward in the intellectual progress. His book, Trivialization and Public Opinion: Slogans, Substance, and Styles of Thought in the Age of Complexity (Palgrave Macmillan 2019), was distinguished as one of Springer Nature’s top research works of 2019. His new book, The Structure of Policy Evolution: Painting an Integrated Picture of Change in Policy and Institutional Systems (Routledge 2023), advances a common model of evolutionary change in policy systems, a major contribution to the field of public policy.
